HEALTHY HAIR
Braid Aftercare
Protect your style, your scalp, and your hair underneath. Healthy hair always comes first.
TIP 01
Sleep on Silk or Satin
Wrap your braids in a silk or satin scarf and/or sleep on a satin pillowcase. This stops frizz, keeps edges smooth, and protects the ends.
TIP 02
Moisturize Your Scalp
Lightly spray a leave-in conditioner mixed with water on your scalp every 2–3 days. Follow with a few drops of light oil (jojoba, argan, or MOOR Growth Elixir).
TIP 03
Wash Gently — Don't Skip It
Around weeks 2–3, dilute a clarifying shampoo with water in a spray bottle, focus on the scalp, rinse thoroughly, and air dry. Clean braids last longer.
TIP 04
Refresh the Edges
Smooth your edges with a soft brush and a light gel only when needed. Heavy daily gel use can cause flaking and breakage.
TIP 05
Boho Curls: Hands Off
Don't brush curly boho hair. Refresh with water + a curl mousse and scrunch lightly. Re-dip in hot water if curls drop.
TIP 06
Watch the Tension
Some tightness on day one is normal; pain or bumps are not. Use a warm compress and reach out to Michael if anything feels off.
TIP 07
Take Down on Time
Keep braids in no longer than 6–8 weeks. Beyond that, matting at the roots can pull on your natural hair.
TIP 08
Reset After Take-Down
Detangle gently with conditioner, do a clarifying wash, deep condition, and trim any rough ends before your next style.
